Sunday we went to the buffet lunch recommended by the guy that owns the house we're renting. He reserved us a table with a great view - it was beautiful and the food was good. The only problem was that Owen was tired (close to his naptime) and we were about 20 feet from the waves, so he was not interested in sitting down nicely and eating lunch. So Brian spent most of the time walking him up and down the beach while Peter & I ate, and I drank my fruity rum drink. Apparently he decided that he was hungry after all, so decided to take a bite of sand ... he didn't fall in the sand, he just bent down, opened his mouth, and took a bite. Twice. He fell asleep in the car shortly after we started driving back. Poor kid is still catching up. Ella was happy in her car seat the whole time charming the other diners with her giggles and smiles.
Ella: still happy and awake. Owen: wiped out - this is the position I laid him down in, and he stayed exactly in the same spot for 3 hours.
Ella & Daddy playing ... Owen up from his nap - first thing he does is look for Ella. EEELLLA!
Owen loves the waves - he just runs straight for them, gets knocked down, rolled over, and hops back up for the next one. He probably drinks gallons of sea water. He played so hard last night that he was nearly falling asleep in the water, but still didn't want to stop. Ella likes the water too - though doesn't look like it in these pictures - we take her out deep and she just kicks and kicks and laughs. She even got splashed pretty well in the face a few times and just blinks it off. Here's a couple of videos of Owen returning sand to the ocean and running for the waves -- this was a small one, so it didn't knock him over.

Sunday is not the problem, the problem is the buffet lunch
